We have just passed the midpoint of the winter, and traditionally this is a time of rest and recuperation. The days are getting a little longer, some 3 minutes per day. With a new year and decade, it is a great time to think about New Year resolutions. Mine will certainly be ignore the news, even more than before! It is incredible to think of the massive amount of resources spent on the 'swine' flu for it really to amount to nothing compared to the hype and warnings. However, I think it up to us personally to keep our immune system tip top to prevent ourselves from getting ill.
Many people focus on weight loss in the New Year, and although cutting out processed food is an absolute must, it is increasing exercise that really does the trick. There are some remedies which can help to increase metabolic rate, specifically Myrhh. This is in capsule form which is put together for me by www.botanicalhealth.co.uk. The minimum we need to function is an hour of cardiovascular activity, 3 x a week. Basically enough to get your heart faster and get a sweat on.
Some people find it easier to motivate themselves when they go to a class. In Hereford there are a number of great group fitness classes, such as spinning (cycling) and circuit training. However for some body types swimming suits them the best as does Yoga or Tai Chi.
At the moment we have heavy snow in Hereford, which serves as a reminder as to how dependant on nature we really are. Last year I visited Morocco and collected some fabulous ingredients, which I am currnetly processing into medicines.
Please look at my events page for my schedule so far this year.
Wishing you the best of health!
Philip
